How do I know Sandra is right for me?
You want to feel confident in whoever you work with. I would!

So, here's the (not-so-glamorous) goods...

TRAINING AND EDUCATION

Since 2017 I've been studying conversion copywriting from the OG herself—Joanna Wiebe—the creator of CopyHackers and Copy School, two of Amy Porterfield's copywriters (Ryan Schwartz and Abi Prendergast), and two A-list copywriters (John Carlton and Ray Edwards) who've generated hundreds of millions of dollars for their clients. That's 5 teachers!

In 2021, I received my 10X Web Copy certification from Copyhackers. In their words:
"This badge is issued to individuals who have successfully completed the conversion-focused copywriting training for Researching, Planning, Writing, Editing and Optimizing home page (and more!) copy."
I can tell you, it was an intense course! It took me about 6 months of getting up at 3 AM every day to finish it.

If you want to verify the certification, click the 10X Web Copy badge on this page.

If you want more information about the details of this certification, see this page.

Since 2024 I'm madly learning about human behaviour, and specifically behavioural economics, from Melina Palmer, Rory Sutherland, and others. This stuff is FASCINATING!

(For context, behavioural economics combines psychology with economics in order to better understand how to nudge humans into taking action.)

As a side note, I was StoryBrand certified between 2022 and 2024, but found that there wasn't a significant market for this certification in Canada. However, I still use many of the StoryBrand principles in website and marketing messaging.

EXPERIENCE

Since 2017, I've been writing for businesses in the fields of:
-
home services
-
book publishing
-
leadership
-
personal branding
-
human resources
-
relationships
-
nutrition
-
manufacturing
-
technology
-
sales
among others.

I'm also a professor at Durham College in the faculty of Business and Information Technology teaching Website Design and Management and Online Digital Marketing.
Guest on Wes McDowell's YouTube channel talking about using client's words to increase conversions. This 2-minute appearance resulted in two big website projects!
Guest on Copyhackers to talk about scope creep.
Guest on Deborah Kevin's podcast talking about music and copywriting. (Did you know that it's not unusual for musicians to get into copywriting?)
Guest on Susan Friedmann's podcast talking about creating websites and landing pages for authors who want to sell their books.
I got up at 3 AM (the only time I could get focused work done before the kids woke up) for 6 months to get this certification!

50% of royalties of Wake up, Rosie Dosie!
go to OUR Rescue to rescue children from
sex trafficking and exploitation.
And if you’re the kind of person who reads to
the very end...
PUBLISHED BOOKS

I'm a published children's author under the pseudonym Mrs. Bee. (Wake Up, Rosie Dosie! is available on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com.) 50% of the royalties go to OUR Rescue to support the fight against child sex trafficking.
I wrote the foreword and worked with Tanya Willis on her book Cookie Dough in the Dark and Scott Goobie's book FEMSTEM: The Compelling Case for Women in STEM.

I'm a contributing author to the anthology The Author Toolkit: Mastering the Art of Author Visibility.
PERSONAL STUFF

Prior to copywriting and marketing, I edited medicolegal reports for 19 years (zzzzz...what was I thinking?!) and taught music for 25 years (piano and drumming are my go-to instruments!).

And in 2019 I had the bright idea to go skydiving. Bottom right is the picture to prove it. Would I do it again? Not for a million. But maybe 10 mil.

Them awesome people right there are a big part of my small world.

One of my finest moments. Falling from 15,000 feet. Fulfilling a goal on my bucket list. While my sanity was hanging by a thread. (Hint: I'm the hot one that looks like a donkey.)
